Family Yoga

You and your children (from pre-school and up) will work as partners and individually to stretch, strengthen and balance your bodies and minds. In some areas your children will learn from you, and sometimes you will learn from them! Purpose of the class is to have fun, learn exercises to help children control the movements of their bodies, and to learn techniques for relaxation. In this class, parents have the opportunity to learn with your child, support him or her, and share some quiet moments together. At least one parent must attend for each family unit--more are welcome!

Cost of class is $75 for 6-class series ($3 per extra child; extra adult free) OR pay $15 per class for each parent child couple and $5 for each extra child.

Class is taught by Louise Goldberg, MA, Registered Yoga Teacher, Licensed Massage Therapist, who has been providing relaxation training to students and their teachers in the Broward County Schools since 1981. She has taught yoga at the Yoga Center for over 15 years. Louise has developed Creative Relaxationsm, a yoga-based video for children, and is co-author of Stop and Relax, a kit for relaxation training, used in many autism programs in the Broward schools. She has been published in the International Journal of Yoga Therapy for her work with children. Louise offers group and private classes.
